Can I book my flight seat in advance?
For long-haul holidays, seating in economy class cannot be pre-booked until very close to departure, given the nature of our competitive fare arrangements with our airline partners. Once you receive your final travel documents, some airlines will permit you to allocate your seats for a cost, payable directly to the airline. The procedure for doing this will vary between airlines, but will be clearly shown on your documents. We cannot do this for you and must be done directly with the airline.
For UK and European short-haul holidays, you may be able to pre-book your seats directly with your airline (there will be a charge for doing so) when we supply you with your flight reference number. In some cases we will SMS you (if we have your mobile number) your flight reference number, otherwise your flight reference number will be available when we send you your final travel documents, approx 7-10 days before your departure date.
What time should I arrive at the airport/station on my flight/Eurostar?
For Domestic and European holidays, the recommended check-in time is two hours before your flight. For Transatlantic and other Long-haul destinations, you should check in three hours before your flight. If you are travelling by Eurostar, check in will be one hour before departure.
Can I upgrade my flight?
This is possible in certain circumstances. As a group escorted tour operator, we buy seats in blocks for our travelling group. This means our holidays are competitively priced, as we source very good rates with our airline partners. Should you wish to upgrade, we would be deviating your booking away from the group economy fare, to a different fare type. This means the difference between the original economy fare quoted (part of our group) and the new upgraded fare will likely be greater than you may expect. You should not compare fares on airline websites, as these are not reflective of the arrangement we have with airlines.
We can quote upgrade rates for flights with Virgin Atlantic, Air Canada and Malaysia Airlines within 5 days. All other upgrade requests are submitted to the airline for quoting and can take up to two weeks to come back.
Upgrades are not permitted within 6 weeks of departure.
